Abstract

RODRIGUEZ GABALDA, Diana et al. EPICRONI: Programa automatizado para el monitoreo y evaluación de la calidad de la atención médica de las enfermedades no transmisibles. Rev Cubana Hig Epidemiol [online]. 2001, vol.39, n.1, pp.26-31. ISSN 0253-1751.

SUMMARY EPICRONI is a useful system for the automated processing of the monitoring and evaluation of the quality of medical care. It is designed as the analytical complement of a methodology to evaluate the quality of medical attention received by those patients with noncommunicable diseases (bronchial asthma, arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus) at the primary and secondary health care level institutions. These diseases are the first causes of death and disability in our country. As a computer system, it allows the introduction and processing of data, as well as their presentation in tables and graphs. EPICRONI offers you numerous advantages for its use that are typical of the most modern interactive system, as well as a great help to guarantee its successful operation and an amicable interphase with the EPINFO system and with others that may be used to complement the study, if the user decides to do so. The EPICRONI system is an application designed on EpiInfo version 6.04 that may be used from MS-DOS and from Windows.
