BARCELO PEREZ, Carlos et al. Vivienda y salud en residentes en el municipio de Centro Habana: Ambiente físico. Rev Cubana Hig Epidemiol [online]. 2003, vol.41, n.2-3. ISSN 0253-1751.

A descriptive study on environmental stressors was conducted in two housing typologies of a multifamiliar building and in a tenement house from "Colón" People's Council, in Centro Habana municipality aimed at characterizing and comparing both environments. Aspects such as air circulation, the thermal and humidity regimen, natural and artificial lighting, as well as noise outside and inside the house, were studied taking into account the standardized methodologies and permissible errors. The warmest temperature was detected inside the houses. A more unfavorable situation was observed in the citadel. The sound level around the house was high. From the health point of view, it was worse inside the apartment than in the citadel. Natural and artificial lighting of the citadel as an average were worse than those of the apartment, eventhough this aspect was deficient in both.
