BARCELO PEREZ, Carlos; FUENTES ROJAS, Tayseth  y  GUZMAN PINEIRO, Raisa. Ambiente interior en vivienda inmobiliaria. Rev Cubana Hig Epidemiol [online]. 2004, vol.42, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3003.

The real state projects may contribute to health recovery when their functional spaces meet the appropiate conditions. Projects with high comfort technological innovations are promoted in Havana City and, in this sense, it is our goal to define the results on comparing the physical environmental conditions of the house with the conditions outdoors. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted at Monte Carlo Palace Real State for 10 days to evaluate microclimate, lighting, ventilation and noise by using methodologies recommended by the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance. The house proved to be colder and dryer inside. Higher temperature and lower humidity were observed in the bedroom and in the bathroom, whereas the air exchange in the latter did not fulfilled the norm. Natural lighting was inappropriate in every room, excepting in the living-room. The sound level in the house exceeded mildly the maximum admissible level and a severe sound pollution was detected outside.

Palabras clave : Housing; health; stress; temperature; radiant heat; humidity; wind; ventilation; lighting; noise.
