ALVAREZ PEREZ, AdolfoGerardo et al. Conceptual updating on the health determinants from the Cuban perspective. Rev Cubana Hig Epidemiol [online]. 2010, vol.48, n.2. ISSN 0253-1751.
To explain the causes of non-health always has been an interesting subject for the scientific community, thus there are many forms designed to explain the health determination in subjects and populations. These forms reflect the reality and the interests of countries vary different to our, allowing the need to count on a form explaining this process from the Cuban specific reality. Hence, this conceptual updating of components of Cuban form of determination and/or social production of health. A historical-logical analysis was carried out of the evidences derived from early studies conducted by the authors, which were exposed to a integration and systematization workshop. The health in Cuba is determined by the political will, the inter-sectors and the design of health politics based on the reorganization of health services and the permanent development of its human resource as well as other many factors hat in a individual or combined way, are associated with the health status of population. Present form provides to health behavior spatial analysis and its determinants, the concept of health differences differing with the unfair and avoidable inequalities in health. It is reiterate the theory that each concrete space or moment deserve an specific explanation on how health is socially produced and which are the premises and factors contributing to this process.
