The non-intentional lesions in children and adolescents are a significant cause of death at world level and are in the first place of mortality at all ages in Cuba. Thus, it is necessary the use of all available resources including the development of abilities in specialists to prevent such lesions in the different action areas. The interventional study was conducted from 2003 to 2009 in 343 professionals from different sectors (health, education, traffic policeman, jurists, diffusion media, students and mass organizations, among others) by means of territorial workshops in whole country. Questionnaires were applied in all participants before and after the training plan. These questionnaires included variables on the main features of the non-intentional lesions occurrence and its prevention. For the results analysis the relative frequency measures (percentages), central trend measures (mean) and dispersion measures (inter-quartile) were estimated. Among the participants, the 43.15% received pregruaduate training and the 56.27% received postgraduate training on this subject. Before to training plan, the 71.43% of participants declared to be trained to prevent these lesions, but only the 37.61% approved the questionnaire. Intervention was qualified as satisfactory since after training, figures of those trained and those of that approved the questionnaire increased significantly.
