Abstract

The research aimed to determine the relationship between functional behaviors and industrial safety workers in construction companies in Zulia state. The research was descriptive, applied. correlational nonexperimental, correlational field trans. The population was three construction companies Maracaibo were analyzed to 59 workers. Two questionnaires were applied to measure functional behaviors and industrial security, validated by experts and discriminatory power, with a reliability of 0.98 and 0.95 respectively. The data were analyzed using descriptive and correlational statistics. The results indicated that human error related aspects include memory lapses in personal information management, overconfidence, lack of technical knowledge. The courses encourage companies to avoid human error, and scored as present or absent some factors related to fatigue and maintenance errors. We identified human failure modes indicating deficiencies in the reliability of equipment, inexperience in handling equipment, carelessness, lack of availability of resources to execute the maintenance, with little present for functional failures and repairs. We identified the components of industrial safety feature indicating that objectives, standards and procedures for safety and hygiene, maintaining a final favorable trend on the elements of industrial safety plan. We determined the level of compliance report found that high-level officials, while the Committee on Industrial Safety and Health, said a low level. Compliance is moderate induction program, but high-level training. It was concluded that a moderate, positive and significant relationship between functional behaviors and industrial safety in workers of construction companies in Zulia State, taking the result of Spearman 0466.
