Abstract

The management of solid waste generated in health institutions is gaining importance and interest in hospital management recently at national and international level. These are characterized by a certain degree of danger, so measures should be implemented to prevent any risk that may arise at different stages of its management. An institutional plan of management of solid waste generated in a health institution should be established for contributing to the quality of services provided and it minimizes health risks to workers, patients, the community, and the environment.
