The process of nursing is a scientific method in professional routine tasks of the nurses in the care of sound and ill individual, family and community. Level of knowledge of students belonging to courses of workers in Neonatology Wards and Comprehensive Care to Women Specialties and in order to assess the Process of Nursing at "Simon Bolivar" Polytechnical Institute during 2000-2001. A descriptive and prospective research was carried out. This sample was taken from the total of students registered in this course (19). Knowledge acquired and learning deficiencies of students in every learning content during the performance of the process with a real case before teaching the subject was measured. During the teaching process practical evaluations were performed in every learning content and at the end of analysis of each real case was taken into account. Information about knowledge acquired and learning deficiencies of the students before and after teaching the subject was given. Teaching "The Process of Nursing" made possible to eradicate the majority of the problems that students faced in practical work of this process, but there are difficulties that will be eradicated with the systematic audits and retrospective works.
