The Cuban Medical School has suffered many changes from the triumph of the Revolution being the University Out Patient Clinic a proof of it. From its beginning in Consolación del Sur municipality, an extracurricular strategy has been developed with all the students enrolled in this project giving the opportunity of practicing the knowledge acquired in the classroom, favoring this experience the quality of the educative _ teaching process. The present work has demonstrated the importance of these extracurricular activities and its positive repercussion on the learning process for the students, which guarantees the training of a General Physician according to the current times.
