Resumen

FERNANDEZ LARA, Ana Isabel; BARROSO PEREZ, Carmen Teresa  y  AMARO BLANCO, Armando José. Characterization of an experimental group in the Medical University Venues, Course 2005-2007. Rev Ciencias Médicas [online]. 2007, vol.11, n.2, pp. 284-299. ISSN 1561-3194.

A descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out aimed at analyzing the socio-demographic, group and psychopedagogical characteristics of an experimental group in medical studies, this took place during the course 2005 and on the second term of 2007. A diagnosis of the current situation, the study of the theoretical foundations and the analysis of references were conducted. A system of diagnostic tasks was suggested, taking into account a function of variants proposed by the authors. The most significant results were: personal dissatisfaction, and at home insufficient development of habits and skills in the independent work. The rate of group reciprocity is low (0.38), showing a delay on the cohesion as a mature group. The lack of systematization in scientific-methodological work and not having enough teaching experience were the main findings. It is expected the diagnosis allows to design a strategy of intervention in the teaching-learning process, being able to improve the academic results of the medical students.
