Abstract

A descriptive prospective and longitudinal study was carried out aimed at assessing the role of the professor in the training of the Basic Technician in Nursing through the fulfillment of the tasks of the Comprehensive Project of the Educative Work. The universe consisted of 156 students in the first academic year of the study and the sample consisted of 85 who were surveyed. The variables used were: motivation, influence of the professor in the motivation work of the leading teacher and work of the professor in the training of these students. It was evident that most of the students are motivated by their profession and that the professor has influenced positively on these students, the work of the leading professor is assessed by most of the students as a proper work strengthening the essential values in the training of a comprehensive graduate. The results are observed in graphics and statistical tables.
