Abstract

Insufficiencies of the methodological work in Medical Municipal University Venues has negatively influenced on the quality of teaching-learning process. Problem: how to contribute to the reinforcement of methodological work in Medical Municipal University Venues (MMUV), to better the training process and the quality of future health professionals? Objective: to evaluate the impact of the Nucleus of endogenous pedagogical development to strengthen methodological work in the MMUV in Pinar del Rio. Results: the number and quality of training pedagogical courses and workshops increased in all of the MMUV, strengthening the tutor's role, the correct use of the teaching aids and improvement of the new organization of teaching-learning process. The number of projects, the results of pedagogical research and quality of the activities for methodological work increased as well; the activities were given by the members of these nuclei, and so the control of teaching activities which contributed to accomplish activities to promote teaching ranks with higher quality. Conclusion: the introduction of this new structure of organization to develop methodological work at MMUV in Pinar del Rio has permitted to perfect methodological work and brought about a favourable institutional environment to this work, achieving systematization and wide-ranging methodological work on the levels of medical studies, discipline and academic year in Medical Municipal University Venues.
