Abstract

SANCHEZ GARCIA, Salvador et al. The application of the informed consent in Primary Health Care. Its acceptation. Rev Ciencias Médicas [online]. 2012, vol.16, n.3, pp.277-287. ISSN 1561-3194.

A descriptive, prospective, cross-sectional and observational study was carried out to determine whether the population in Primary Health Care accepts the application of the informed consent or not. A sample of 240 patients was chosen at random or at researcher’s convenience in the different areas of Primary Care in Pinar del Rio during 2010-2011. Results were processed using descriptive statistics; which allowed gathering the information to carry out the data processing, percentages and other indispensable data. The most relevant results showed that the population agreed to know the aspects related to the diseases they suffered regarding the characteristics, in order to take decisions; which reaffirms the possibility of applying the informed consent in Primary Health Care, improving at the same time, the relation health-patient and health care at this level, as well as strengthening the preparation of the graduate human resources or of those who still study to face this task efficiently.
