Introduction: medical and dentistry services developed by Cuban Revolution have among the functions, the satisfaction of the needs of patients and their families with a higher scientific-technical level and total accomplishment. Objective: to determine the level of satisfaction that the patients and their families recognize regarding professional care and the behavior of primary health-care teams. Material and Method: a descriptive research was carried out in 5 polyclinics and 2 dentistry clinics in Pinar del Rio and Consolacion del Sur municipalities, concerning the requests of patients and through an anonymous survey, applying a scale of five options of qualitative assessment of satisfaction at the end of medical and dentistry services. The target group was comprised of 303 patients and 112 family members requesting the services of the chosen entities. Results: these were processed using descriptive statistics, representing them in charts of relative and absolute frequencies. The study allowed to establish the level of satisfaction and was recognized in more than the 30% of the five aspects assessed with complete satisfaction (excellent), that ranged between 12,2 % and 18,3 %. Conclusion: continuous and progressive effort is necessary and important to bind the good qualified services to the satisfaction of patients and their families; which provides a higher dimension of the ethical-professional art for medical and dentistry care to provide services of excellence that the population deserves.
