Abstract

Introduction: the methodological work should be considered the direction of the teaching-learning process. Objetive: to design a model for the methodological work in the specialization Health Sciences at Pinar del Río University of Medical Soceinces. Material and method: descriptive and cross-sectional research during the third trimester of 2014; the sample group was made up of 65 professors and advisors of the specialty Comprehensive Medicine belonging to Hermanos Cruz Polyclinic of Pinar del Río. Empirical methods and procedures of descriptive statistic were also used. Results: most of the professors and advisors noted that the different methodological activities presented in the Regulation 210-07 could be valid as implemented in the postgraduate teaching-learning process. The professors and advisors do not manage properly how to develop methodological work in the teaching-learning process of the specialization, while there exist no normative in force for the implementation of this work. Conclusions:  the methodological work in the specialization process requires reconceptualization of the levels, activities and organization forms y the preparations in the didactic-pedagogic-methodological order by the professors and advisors.
