MARAGOTO-MORALES, Carlos Alberto et al. Proposal for updating the Galen Blood Bank software developed by SOFTEL for product management in a general store. Rev Ciencias Médicas [online]. 2022, vol.26, n.2, e5316. Epub Mar 01, 2022. ISSN 1561-3194.
Introduction:
logistics, considered as a complex discipline due to its scope and thematic diversity, it considers a wide range of activities that allow offering the customer the required product or service, with the desired quality, so it is necessary to use resources and strategies to facilitate their inventory work. In a study carried out by workers of the Provincial Blood Bank, it was detected that the Galen Lab Program for Blood Banks presented errors in its structure and does not have a space to manage general store products.
Objective:
to create a prototype of a computer application for the management of products in the general store of the Provincial Blood Bank.
Methods:
the research responds to a qualitative-quantitative study applying the theoretical and empirical historical-logical methods, interviews and documentary analysis, to carry out a deep analysis of the products issued by the suppliers up to the Blood Bank, disposing of them the Department of Economics by means of work protocols, giving them entrance to the general store and later exit according to the demand of the workers.
Results:
the final result of this research would have a great economic impact in our province, since the system allows visualizing, arranging and controlling the quantity of products in the general store, which allowed comparing the quantities with Versat, achieving a total matching of the inventory in the general store with the department of Economics.
Conclusions:
the implementation of this tool would save material resources, avoid physical weakness on workers and loss of time during the work.
