GONZALEZ FERNANDEZ, Caridad; HERNANDEZ ESPINOSA, Doris  y  RODRIGUEZ TAPIA, Jorge. Presence and Distribution of Bioregulators Complex Associated to Phyllocnistis citrella Stt. (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) in Cuban Citrics. Fitosanidad [online]. 2010, vol.14, n.4, pp. 215-218. ISSN 1818-1686.

Citrus leaf miner Phyllocnistis citrella Stt. is a pest that has a great variety of natural enemies worldwide, mainly hymenopterous parasitoids. According to the regulator role in P. citrella populations management and the advantages that their preservation offers in citrus agroecosystem, an inventory of bioregulators associated to this pest was done in Cuba. Young buds of citrus cultivars with P. citrella attack were collected in nurseries and production plantations of Isla de la Juventud and province municipalities of Pinar del Río, Ciudad de La Habana, La Habana, Matanzas, Cienfuegos, Ciego de Ávila, Camagüey, Holguín and Santiago de Cuba. Ten parasitoids species (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea), with predominance of eulophyds, were identified in these areas, from which Ageniaspis citricola, Cirrospilus sp. and Zagrammosoma multilineatum present a wide distribution. Predator Chrysopa cubana has also been informed as natural enemy of P. citrella.
