Fractured crystalline rocks have potential for water accumulation, however, to determine the location of wells that enable extraction, an accurate assessment of the geological conditions of the study areais neccesary. The study area includes Katengue, Caimbambo, Kanhamela and Wyiangombe communities belonging to Caimbambo municipality. The main objective of this paper is to show the applied procedures that include the application of techniques related to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing in a region characterized by the Pre-Cambrian granite formations.
