An effective evaluation of environmental impact of engineering works running on coastal marine ecosystems that analyzes potential risks during the construction stage, knowing that these entail extreme impacts, according to their ecological functionality, protective and marine energy dissipating actions, will enable sustainable development of the investment process. In this research the environmental impact assessment process of the dredging project Periquillo Marinein key Las Brujas following the Conesa methodology is presented. As a result the environmental authorities took measures to prevent, mitigate or remedy the major significant environmental impacts identified during the implementation phase of the project.
