This article is a continuation of the studies about the birth of Experimental Hydraulics by accounting for the works that were being done in France during the 18^thcentury. As a result, the foundation of the French School of Hydraulics took place. Besides, Chezy`s contributions are commented as well as the circumstances under which they happened. At the same time, it gives information about Bossut and Du Buat's contributions to calculate the head loss in orificesand pipes as well as about the invention of Pitot's tube. The Borda and Coulomb´s contributions, which are not well-known in that field, are also highlighted. This article presents very interesting aspects of these men's lives that are essential in the study of this science.
