Abstract

VERDES SANCHEZ, Rolando; RAMOS ARZOLA, Lemuel Carlos  and  HERNANDEZ VALDES, Armando Orestes. Solution of the inverse problem of the hydrogeology by the differential evolution algorithm. Ing. hidrául. ambient. [online]. 2022, vol.43, n.2, pp.58-70.  Epub May 20, 2022. ISSN 1680-0338.

In this research a new module within AQÜIMPE technology is proposed, to the automatic calibration of the hydrogeologic parameters of the aquifers model (hydraulic conductivity and storage coefficient). The proposal uses a metaheuristic technique called differential evolution algorithm, which is based on the basic principles of the genetic algorithms with some modifications. This technique is implemented in the solution of the inverse problem of the hydrogeology. The coupling between the AQÜIMPE flow model code and DE is implemented in the mathematical assistant MATLAB. The model proposed is applied in the calibration of the real aquifer model. Through its application it shows that DE is a good option when selecting an optimization algorithm to the solution of the inverse problem of the hydrogeology.

Keywords : aquifer; AQÜIMPE; calibration; differential evolution; inverse problem.
