Introduction: the beginning and development of the video-laparoscopic surgery, has signified an important impact on the surgical sciences. Its development began in the dawn of the XX century mainly in Europe, and reached its highest development in the gynecology. The improvement of the laparoscopic instrumental has allowed the heyday of this technique, following always the basic surgical principles of the traditional surgery. Objective: the objective of this article is describing the basic and specialized instruments, necessary for its successful achievement. Conclusions: the theme review allows knowing the characteristics and indications for the usage of the basic and special instruments, necessary to carry up the video-laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
