^les^aLa bioseguridad en Estomatología es vital para lograr la calidad en los servicios. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue reflexionar sobre esta temática, que constituye un problema en la comunidad estomatológica matancera. Se emplearon la revisión bibliográfica y documental, así como la observación, entrevistas a especialistas y encuestas. Los datos sirvieron de sustento para desarrollar consideraciones y reflexiones en relación a la temática estudiada. También se expusieron aspectos de la práctica diaria a tener en cuenta para rescatar la bioseguridad. Se propusieron posibles estrategias a llevar a cabo de acuerdo al momento histórico del país y las trasformaciones de la salud pública cubana para su sostenibilidad, y se evidencia la necesidad ineludible de la fusión docencia-asistencia-investigación para alcanzar el éxito. Un ambiente laboral de calidad para pacientes y prestadores, contribuye a la excelencia y eficiencia del sistema de salud.^len^aBiosecurity in Stomatology is vital to achieve the quality of the service. The objective of the current work was reflecting on this topic, being a problem in the Matanzasan stomatologic community. We used the bibliographic and documental review, and also the observation, interviews to specialists and inquiries. Data were the substratum to develop considerations and reflections on the studied theme. We also exposed aspects of the daily practice to take into account for the rescue of the biosecurity. There were proposed strategies to develop according to the historical moment the country is going through and the transformation of the Cuban public health to achieve its sustainability. It was evidenced the unavoidable necessity of the fusion teaching process-health care- investigation to achieve the success. A qualitative working environment for patients and health care givers contribute to the excellence and efficiency of the health care system.
