FERNANDEZ MARTORI, Meilyn; SEARA GOVEA, Yoandra; RODRIGUEZ MESA, Lissette y PERERA CALDERIN, Alfredo. Serious medicamentous reaction. Therapy combined with Intacglobine. Presentation of a case. Rev. Med. Electron. [online]. 2014, vol.36, suppl.1, pp. 771-779. ISSN 1684-1824.
Stevens-Johnson’s Syndrome is a serious muco-cutaneous reaction. We present a case treated with steroids and Intacglobine. A patient aged 22 years was admitted to the hospital with the diagnosis of leptospirosis and he was treated with penicillin and metamizole. At the time of discharge some ampullar lesions were observed that were considered a possible chicken pox. He was admitted again with a diagnosis of Major Multiform Erythema, using high doses of steroids for the first day, and then Intacglobin was incorporated at the fifth day, with the decrease of steroids doses and satisfactory evolution. This is an alternative requiring more terms endorsing it as a therapeutic modality.
