Introduction: the residents of General Integral Medicine require knowledge of Natural and Traditional Medicine for their health care practice. Objective: evaluating the knowledge of the Natural and Traditional Medicine by residents of General Integral Medicine. Materials and Methods: a descriptive, transversal and analytical research was developed in the Teaching Polyclinic "Raul Sánchez Rodríguez" of Pinar del Río, in the first trimester of 2016. The universe was formed by 50 residents of General Integral Medicine and the study sample were 28 residents randomly chosen; 15 of them were first-year students and 13 were second-year students of that specialty. The studied variables were: theoretical themes, Natural and Traditional Medicine techniques and final grades. Medical ethics was respected. Results: knowledge of the advantages of Natural and Traditional Medicine and Herbal Medicine prevailed in first-year residents, getting good grades, while indications, advantages, Herbal Medicine and Digitopuncture prevailed in second-year residents, with outstanding results. Conclusions: the knowledge of Natural and Traditional Medicine by residents of Integral General Medicine were favorable, strengthening and widening the contribution to the scientific qualitative and integral professional training.
