ARREDONDO BRUCE, Alfredo Enrique; ARREDONDO RUBIDO, Alfredo E.  and  TRUJILLO LOPEZ, Yon Luis. Chronic fatigue syndrome in the course of Hepatitis C. Rev.Med.Electrón. [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.3, pp.1882-1888.  Epub June 30, 2020. ISSN 1684-1824.

It is believed that almost 80 million persons are infected with the Hepatitis C virus around the world, and 60 % of them suffer the chronic fatigue syndrome. For that reason we present the case of a patient who is a carrier of the chronic fatigue syndrome for more than two years. Reports of international research have showed the relation between the immune answer and the damage caused by the infection of the hepatitis C virus in the brain tissues. The aim of this work is presenting the first case reported in Cuba.

Keywords : hepatitis C virus; brain tissue; chronic fatigue syndrome.
