In this regard the use of Clinical Desicions Support Systems (CDSS), act as the key component in the informatization of the clinical layer, in order to reduce medical error and improve health processes. This research is focused on implementing a clinical decisions support system related to the early diagnosis of diseases, functioning as a horizontal component of the Outpatient Service module in the Hospital Information System. The development of the system will provide the medical staff of timely and accurate information, useful for quality assurance in health care. The system was developed using the OpenCDS tools as decision support service and Drools Guvnor for creating the rules used by the knowledge module, in addition it was ensured that exchange and messaging data were based on standards. The end result was a service for support clinical decisions related to the early diagnosis of breast cancer that provides recommendations to the medical staff that interacts with the Outpatient Service module, regarding the conduct of clinical tests to patients in the right time.
