ARENCIBIA MORALES, Annia et al. Grouping smart techniques to predict Adverse Drug Reaction. RCIM [online]. 2017, vol.9, n.1, pp. 73-87. ISSN 1684-1859.
Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) can cause temporary or permanent disability to the patient, even resulting in a fatal outcome. The occurrence of ADRs present direct costs taking into account: salary of the person, expenditure of material and cost of medicines, which increase the amount when dealing with it. With the aim of predicting which RAM can cause a patient, taking into account: the characteristics of patients, the interaction between medications and the RAM itself; Some artificial intelligence techniques are created and grouped, where each one solves a specific problem, but together they can predict an Adverse Drug Reaction. Among the applied techniques is: case-based reasoning, rule-based reasoning, and pattern recognition. The validation of each of these techniques is performed independently, demonstrating that the use of these, allows health professionals to have a computer support at the time of medical consultation.
