Abstract

PRIETO RAMIREZ, Doris María. Globalization: Effects on the appraisal pattern change of society and medicine. Rev Hum Med [online]. 2002, vol.2, n.2. ISSN 1727-8120.

The consequences of this phenomenon for the medical activity are analyzed: deterioration of traditional moral values caused by capitalist privatization, belief that technological values are more important than ethical values, emphasis in the biologicist and healing character of medicine, etc. For all this, deep social changes are needed to revert the prevailing axiological pattern
