The fundamental purpose of the work is to highlight the Teacher's figure like utterer of the advances of the science and the technique in the last two decades of the XIX century, and its influence in its scientific thought - technician. He/she is carried out an analysis of the time of the last fifteen years lived by Martí, of their journalistic exercise, as more important vehicle, by means of which their interest is manifested by becoming scientific - technician, which finds its highest expression in the magazine The America. You concludes that the journalistic exercise, the sense of up-to-date information and of popularization orientadora they transform the Teacher into one of the most complete utterers in the advances of the science and the technique of their time.
