This article aims to improve the teaching role of medical university professors and executives, taking into account exigencies for carrying out a process focused on instruction, education, and development. It deals with some of the important aspects of two non-personal components of the teaching-learning process: methods and organizational forms, and their educational potentials. It points out the education at work because of its important part within the formation of health care professionals. Some actions are suggested to educate using both components.
