Gertrudis Aguilera Céspedes carried out her professional career both in medicine and teaching. This article aims to acknowledge her practice as a teacher. An extensive bibliography was consulted, out of which a selection was made to support this research work. She taught at important institutions in Camagüey, which significantly contributed to Cuban teaching.
