A systematization of theoretical references concerning textual typology studies is herein presented. Culture is understood as the leading category of a heuristic text analysis, according to contributions of text linguistics and style. The article aims to propose a definition of philosophical texts as a type of text so as to contribute to previous textual typology studies.
