Didactics centered on students demands the use of adequate strategies and methods, which consider learning as a result of the relationships between affective-cognitive factors, social interactions and communication. This article presents essential theoretical elements to take a stance on teaching strategies and teaching-learning methods, which is dealt with from diverse, usually inconsistent viewpoints, and with multiple meanings and interpretations.
