Aspects of the management of scientific journals and the particularities of them are discussed in this article. Its purpose is to carry out a bibliographic review on management linked to the process-based approach, which provides a new dimension and synthesizes the qualities of the various components of the management process. Scientific journals and their management process are characterized. The process approach is analyzed as management technology for its subsequent implementation in the specific field of management of the scientific publications.
