The training of new generations to satisfy the labor needs of society is a responsibility shared by educational institutions and families. This text responds to the objective of exposing elements of the vocational training strategy managed by the Admission Department at the University of Medical Sciences of Camagüey. A descriptive research with a quantitative approach was carried out between September 2018 and June 2024. The use of theoretical and empirical methods allowed the identification of the insufficiencies that limited the development of vocational training. A strategy was developed based on the diagnosis and the exchanges carried out, from the University of Medical Sciences that involved the municipal branches for the execution of vocational training activities by methodologists or professors in charge of the task. Actions were carried out to awaken individual interests, promote self-knowledge and facilitate decision-making in students.
