The article presented aims to evaluate the main challenges faced by the university in the environmental training of medical students from work-based education. A reflective analysis is carried out of the stakes that current environmental problems impose on the training process of the mode of action in Medical students. Methods such as induction-deduction, analysis-synthesis, documentary review and observation were used. In the dynamics of the environmental training process, deficiencies are shown that constitute incentives to be considered during the career of a pedagogical, didactic and methodological nature. Education at work is considered the ideal scenario for training medical students' way of acting towards the environment, in the face of the challenges faced by the profession in preserving the health of present and future generations.
