Ernesto Che Guevara Heart Center in Santa Clara is about to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Almost all procedures related to cardiovascular surgery, interventional cardiology and electrophysiology are performed in this institution, which has received several awards. In particular, approximately 7000 cardiovascular surgeries have been conducted to date with a survival rate of 95%, while more than 1500 studies and 400 to 500 surgeries are performed annually in interventional cardiology. This paper aims at presenting some of the most important results of this institution for a quarter of a century.
