Retinal macroaneurysms are saccular dilatations of the retinal arteries. They commonly appear in temporary arches, which are found in elderly patients with hypertension and / or generalized vascular disease. They are slightly more frequent in women. In this article we present a case with a macroaneurysm rupture that was treated with laser photocoagulation and evolved favorably.
