In the past, aVR shunt has often been neglected during electrocardiographic interpretation. With the present review we aim at ensuring the performance of a systematic review of aVR shunt, thus providing diagnostic and prognostic usefulness to the electrocardiogram. A review on current literature related to the clinical usefulness of aVR shunt was conducted. We concluded that this review provides both, prognostic and diagnostic information for multiple heart conditions.
