Resumen

PALMA LOPEZ, María Elena. Heart rate, risk marker of acute atherosclerotic complications in hypertensive and non hypertensive patients . Rev haban cienc méd [online]. 2009, vol.8, n.3. ISSN 1729-519X.

So much the PA (arterial pressure) systolic as the PP (pulse pressure) they are related directly with the atherosclerosis and the organic vascular damage, but maybe be the pulse pressure the most important marker in this damage. OBJECTIVES: To identify the complications sharp atherosclerotic and to relate these complications with the pressure of the pulse in patient hypertensions and in patient non hypertensions. He/she is carried out an observational, descriptive and traverse study, the unit of analysis 129 patients entered in the rooms of coronary and ictus in the hospital Enrique Goatherd of July 1º of the 2006 at September 30 the 2006 with I diagnose of complication sharp atherosclerotic (cardiovascular and cerebrovascular). a model of gathering of data was used. they are divided in 2 groups hypertensions (90%) and non hypertensions (9%), demographic variables are analyzed as the age and clinical as the PP (pressure of the pulse), the PAS (systolic arterial pressure). the PAD (arterial pressure diastolic);the antecedent pathological personals of factors of risk and chronic illnesses as: the hypertension arterial(HTA), the diabetes mellitus(DM), the Cardiopathy Isquemic(CI) and the cerebrovascular illness (ECV) and complications sharp atherosclerotic (cardiovascular and cerebrovascular). Keeping in mind the pressure of the pulse is formed two groups pressure of the pulse (PPN) smaller than 50mmhg and pressure of the elevated pulse (PPE) same or bigger that 50mmhg, they are related both groups with the studied variables. RESULTS: The half age was of 68.09 years, the stocking of the pressure of the pulse was of 67.3 mmg, of the PAS 157.23 mmhg and of the PAD 93.7mmhg; they had APP (personal pathological records) of HTA 37%, 12% of DMK, 22% of IC, 1% of ECV and 13% they didn't have. The complications sharp atherosclerotic were but you frequent in patient with PPE, so much in hypertensions (87.1%) like in non hypertensions (58.1%) SUMMATIONS: With the increase of the pressure of the pulse it increases the frequency of complications sharp atherosclerotic in hypertensions and non hypertensions.
