A literature review of some scientific articles and books on demography study and its application in Public Health was done by the author of the present paper. This review had the intention to provide updated information about the topic mentioned before in order to design and deliver a lecture about demography studies to students of Health Technology. Different concepts about Demography and its main calculations which are used in health fields are described. Some regional demographic indicators and their comparisons concerning to their social and economics development are commented. Results of some recent studies about demography and its trends carried out in countries where there is a higher socio-economical development is also presented. It is concluded saying that the textbook used in the teaching of statistics to Health Technology students has some gaps in the content which has to be taught in class to those students.
