We realized a prospective study between October from 2006 to February of 2007 in San Antonio de los Baños, to 32 children smaller than 1 year that entered in the pediatrics service, with compatible clinical situation with an Acute Respiratory Infections (IRA) of possible viral ethiology, to determine the clinical, epidemic characteristics and the ethiology of the IRAs. The age prevailed smaller than 6 months; the risk factors were the habit of smoking and the coexistence with some person with IRA. The most identified virus was the respiratory sincitial virus (VSR), followed by the adenovirus (Adv) and the enterovirus.
