Abstract

Medicine Based Evidence [MBE] settlements has produced in the turn of the century an enthusiastic wave of adhesion, at national e international scale, expressed in the acceptation of many of their principles directed towards legitimate in the scientific way the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures proposals intended as guidelines to be accepted. The core principle has been utilizing the best available evidence to set up the most appropriated medical behavior and reduce the margin of uncertainty in decision making area. Soon come into view increasing questioning about their legitimization, extension and ethical justification. This paper intent to present MBE aspects considered useful and useless or critical as well as afford the critical viewpoint about this issue, as appear in his available bibliography, of Professor J.A. Llorens Figueroa, distinguish and respected figure o Cuban XX century Medicine, whom this Conference is dedicated.
