Introduction: The appearance of the Pandemic Flu A H1N1 affected to several countries with an elevated mortality. In our country an important number of cases were reported. Aim: To characterize the morbidity of the patients admitted at the Respiratory Care Unit with compatible symptoms of the Influence A H1N1 illness. Method: Were studied 131 patients admitted at the Dr. "Miguel Enríquez" Hospital between October 2009 and Agost 2010. It was evaluated different variables and was used statistical methods for to determine the dependence between these variable. Results: It was a predominance of 40-49 years old range and female sex. Bronchial asthma was the risk factor most frequent. Pneumonia constituted the most founded complication and cough the cardinal symptom. Conclusions: A H1N1 Influence was clinically proved in hospitalized patients at the Respiratory Care Service with compatible symptoms to this entity.
