Comprehension is a process where the receiver begins by recognizing the words and signs and then must construct meaning according to the textual intentional communicative situation. In this work, a theoretical and practical study is presented, which offers a solution based on the hierarchization and use of theoretical, empirical and mathematical methods. Therefore, a teaching-learning strategy is proposed for the comprehension of the poetic text that enhances a reflexive, strategic and metacognitive reading.
