One of the problems identified in the teaching-learning process of oral communication mediated by technologies is insufficiencies in tecno-didactic mediations. The following article is intended to explore the epistemological foundations involved in the teaching learning process of oral communication with the use of virtual teaching-learning environments. The methods used included analysis-synthesis and documentary analysis. The results obtained evidence the importance of using these online learning management systems to improve oral skills in foreign languages, where interactivity, flexibility and intercultural backgrounds are essential.
