The article addresses the socializing effect of the transmission of the Haitian cultural legacy when examined from the perspective of the sociology of education and culture. It shows the insufficient use of the training potential of such transmission as a fundamental process in education at school, family and community levels. Hence, the objective is to propose the treatment of different contents for the improvement of the knowledge system in university careers of social and humanistic sciences related to this subject. Bibliographic and document analysis, among others, are used as methods.
