The article is aimed at the characterization of the historic development of the experimental activity in the initial formation of Physics’ teachers in Cuba taking the different syllabi into account. Theoretical methods such as induction-deduction, analysis-synthesis, historical-logical, document review, and others, as well as empirical methods such as interviews were used. The methods used led to the result of the present study. The established indicators: the systemic character of the experimental activity; the methods and strategies implemented in the conducting of the teaching experiment within the teaching-learning of Physics and the theoretical conceptions related to the laboratory practice and the formation of experimental abilities in the formation of teachers allowed determining tendencies of the object of study in its historic course. The aforementioned tendencies foresee new investigative challenges in teaching-learning of Physics as a science.
