This article is the first of a series of five papers on the process of philosophical theorization developed by the Cuban educator José de la Luz y Caballero, in notes one to nine of his book Impugnación a las doctrinas filosóficas de Víctor Cousin, in which he demonstrates the inconvenience of using Cousin's 1829 Course as a textbook for the teaching of Philosophy. The article reveals the didactic potentialities of the work for its use as a textbook. It also discovers some of the theoretical-methodological contributions that consolidate and crystallize the formation of Cuban Philosophy in 1840. The objective of the article is to analyze the process of enrichment and systematization of the set of philosophical concepts developed by Luz in the notes which are object of study of his book, when dealing with diverse gnoseological, methodological, anthropological, psychological, ethical, theological problems and the critique to eclecticism.
